Now it takes someone who knows good noodles to get past some of the ambiance but this food court has great food at great prices. Only had time for some dumplings and came to try Xian noodles flushing style and they did not disappoint.

*** This review is mainly for the food court vendors, especially Piao Xiang Yuan / 砂鍋居 This was my second time coming here, and I came back mainly because I really like sesame sauce. I ordered the Northeast Sticky Clay Pot this time. You can choose corn noodles or potato noodles, and after trying both, I personally like the corn noodles more. I picked beef as the meat. What makes this dish special is the sesame sauce inside — it gives the whole pot a very different and richer flavor. I’m not sure how authentic it is, but it definitely fits my taste. Really tasty and I would recommend it. *** This review is mainly for the food court vendors, especially Xiang Ba Ye / 湘八爺 I think this place is a chain from China, and they advertise that they sell over one million bowls a year. I’m not sure if that number is true, but the food was pretty good. I ordered their signature stir-fried pork with chili peppers over rice. The flavor was solid, spicy, and very good with rice. If you like spicy food, this is definitely worth trying. While I was waiting for my order, I also noticed quite a few people ordering the twice-cooked pork. I will probably come back and try that next time.

New World Mall is such an amazing place to visit, whether you’re a local or just in the area exploring. It has a really lively atmosphere and always feels like a hidden gem for food lovers. Every time I go, it’s buzzing with people, which just adds to the overall experience. The real highlight is definitely the basement food court. There are so many different stalls offering a wide variety of foods, so there’s something for everyone. From ramen and udon to stir-fry dishes, dumplings, and even bubble milk tea, the options feel endless. What I love most is how affordable everything is—you can easily grab your own plate or share a few dishes with friends and try a bit of everything without breaking the bank. This time around, I tried the pan-fried soup dumplings, and they were incredible. Just a heads up—they come out piping hot, so be careful when you bite into them! But once you do, it’s absolutely worth it. The flavor and texture were so satisfying. I was also hoping to get the crab roe over rice, which I remember hearing great things about, but unfortunately, they stopped serving it about 1–2 years ago. Took the train all the way from Manhattan to eat here and it was absolutely worth it! The food is authentic and delicious. I had Pan seared dumplings, and soup dumplings, and scallion oil noodles. The prices are pretty good as well! I did have trouble finding hot tea, it was not available at every restaurant. Lunchtime was busy. The food court is on the bottom level.

I loved how reasonable this place was, and the food was awesome! The vibes were great — it was busy, but I loved it. Definitely check out the food court if you’re in Flushing.
